TM SGM RSI 1973 Nr.5 (Weingart cover)
Schweizer Graphische Mitteilungen
Revue suisse de l’Imprimerie
Nr. 5, 1973
Cover design: Wolfgang Weingart
Set in Univers ans Akzidenz Grotesk typefaces. Typefaces altered with phototypesetting effects.
Wolfgang Weingart transformed the covers of the Typografische Monatsblätter published in 1972 and 1973 into “learning covers.” In these covers he put the theses and tenets of renowned theorists and designers up for discussion by interpreting them graphically in fresh and flippant ways and thus making them easier to understand.
Weingart use a quote from Emil Ruder on the cover of this issue.
